Staccato, SKT to Launch UWB PAN Solutions on Handsets in Late 2007

US-based Staccato and Korean SKT announced that they plan to launch UWB PAN (Ultra Wide Band Personal Area Network) services based on Staccato's UWB platform via mobile phones, and are likely to be available in late 2007. The UWB services, with transmission speed faster than Bluetooth and USB, and up to four or five times better than Wi-Fi, will be able to transfer large files, such as movies, between devices, including TVs and PCs.
